BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 12. The countdown has begun for the start of the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2024, the Baku City Circuit Operations Company told Trend.
With just a few hours left until the return of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, considered the pinnacle of motorsport, final preparations are underway for the race, which will take place on September 13-15 on the streets of Baku.
Unlike previous years, fans will be able to enjoy all the world-famous Formula 1 entertainment along the Seaside Boulevard. One of the most popular attractions is the Pit Stop Challenge, where fans can compete to change the tires of an F1 car as quickly as possible. The fastest team of the day will receive prizes, including autographed items and the chance to win a paddock tour.
As in previous years, the Fan Forum will take place in the fan zone along the Seaside Boulevard. At these sessions, world-renowned F1 drivers will meet with motorsport enthusiasts. Fans will have the opportunity to ask questions, get autographs, and take photos with their favorite stars.
For those interested in technical experiments, the Giant Helmet will be a major attraction. Fans can design their own driver helmets in virtual reality using the Giant Helmet F1 and share this unique experience on social media.
The Ninja Obstacle Course is perfect for those looking for physical activity. Suitable for all ages, fans will enjoy overcoming various obstacles in this fun-filled course.
Formula 1 thrills will be combined with circus wonders during the race week, with a fantastic circus atmosphere filled with thrilling performances by acrobats and illusionists.
Racing of motorcycle riders racing at 70 km/h inside a giant globe, defying the laws of speed and gravity with daring loops that will leave adrenaline seekers in awe, will represent the extreme fun.
The Baku City Circuit hasn’t forgotten its younger guests either. Special entertainment zones for children will be set up along the Boulevard, featuring national dances, a nahara (drum) show, a vintage car exhibition, various photo zones, and mini concerts.
This year's race weekend will also feature concerts by global stars at the Baku Crystal Hall. On September 13, world-famous actor and music star Will Smith will entertain fans with a unique musical program. The same evening, racing fans can enjoy a rhythmic and energetic performance by renowned South African DJ and producer Black Coffee. On September 14, international music sensation J Balvin will deliver a spectacular night for motorsport enthusiasts on the Baku stage.
