BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 13. A new series of Chinese language courses will be launched starting September 25 with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Azerbaijan State Economic University (UNEC), the Confucius Institute at the Azerbaijan University of Languages, and Beijing Foreign Studies University, Trend reports.
The courses, held three times a week at the UNEC Ekstern Center, will offer a comprehensive program spanning three months.
Conducted online, the curriculum will cover essential skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing at a beginner level. Participants will gain foundational knowledge of Chinese grammar and develop basic conversational abilities. The program will also include weekly sessions focused on Chinese culture.
Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded certificates. High-achieving students may also be eligible for scholarship opportunities to study in China. The course fee is 60 manat ($35.29) per month, with the Heydar Aliyev Foundation covering costs for individuals requiring social support, including families of martyrs, veterans, and other vulnerable groups.
This initiative marks the third round of Chinese language courses organized with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The global interest in learning Chinese continues to grow, reflecting China's economic success and the language's increasing significance on the world stage.
Applications for enrollment must be submitted by September 24.
