Azerbaijan's Aghdam to break new ground with multiple apartments in second housing quarter

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 15. The ball started rolling on the construction of residential quarters in Aghdam back in June this year, and now the hammer is hitting the nail in 11 blocks of the second residential quarter, Deputy Executive Director of Rehabilitation, Construction, and Management Service in Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavand districts Sabuhi Abdullayev said at the Caspian Construction Week, Trend reports.

He pointed out that 66 buildings are in the pipeline to be built across 11 blocks of the second residential quarter, with six of them being non-residential and 60 residential buildings set to house 1,268 apartments.

“The design of residential and non-residential buildings in the first, third, and fifth quarters continues. Additionally, we have completed the demolition and vertical planning works in the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth quarters, adhering to the general plan. Construction of public buildings is also underway in these areas.

The construction process also continues in three villages - Sarijali, Kengerli, and Khidirli. Construction of 203 private residential houses continues in Aghdam's Sarijali village, 292 in Kengerli village, and 719 in Khidirli village. Construction of schools, kindergartens, club centers, Flag Square, market complexes, consumer service facilities, family health centers, workshops, administrative buildings, and catering facilities is underway in each of the three mentioned villages, along with private residential houses,” Abdullayev said.

To note, the Caspian Construction Week, which is an important event in the construction sphere of the region, is being held at the Baku Expo Center from October 15 through 17.It brings together a patchwork of construction companies from all corners of the globe on one common stage. At present, over 380 companies from 22 countries are in the mix at the exhibitions taking place during the Caspian Construction Week.
