BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 9. An information campaign dedicated to November 8 - Victory Day of Azerbaijan and National Flag Day on November 9 was held in the famous Times Square in New York, the Azerbaijani State Committee on Work with Diaspora of Azerbaijan told Trend.
The event was held with the support of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora and the American-Azerbaijani Youth Federation (AAYF)
Azerbaijani youth studying in the US, gathered under the organization of AAYF Chairperson Leyla Aslanova, told tourists and local Americans visiting the square about the history of Azerbaijan's Victory Day.
Holding the tricolor flag of Azerbaijan in their hands, they chanted slogans such as "Long live Azerbaijan" and "Happy Victory Day, Azerbaijan." At the same time, a map showing the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was shown on giant LED screens in Times Square. Tourists who visited the square took pictures with the Azerbaijani flag.
In addition, a car with an LED screen displaying the slogan "Haribulbul", which is considered a symbol of the Victory of Azerbaijan, and the slogan "November 8 - Victory Day of Azerbaijan!" drove through the square and stopped at 42nd Street.
