Coach headquarters of the Azerbaijani national team on heavy athletics has named the sportsmen which will participate in the World Championship to start in Doha on 9 November, Trend reports.
Four power lifters, including Nizami Pashayev (94kg), the World and European champion, Alibay Samadov (94kg), Turan Mirzayev (77kg), winner of world and continental championships, as well as Alan Naniyev (115kg), will Azerbaijan in the tournament in the capital of Qatar. Previously, Pashayev’s participation was questionable due to his rehabilitation after the injury, whereas the Coach headquarters decided to include him to the team.
Meanwhile, Doha will host a traditional Congress of the International Federation with the heads of the National Federation.
