The Azerbaijani grandmaster Teymar Radjabov confirmed his participation in the traditional international tournament in Linares to take place in February.
The organizers have fully formed the composition of the February competition participants, which includes, beside Teymur Radjabov, Peter Leko, Veselin Topalov, Petr Swidler, Levon Aronyan, Etienne Bacrot, Vasili Ivanchuk and Fransisco Valieho.
At the same time the tournament regulations have also changed. It will be held in two countries now. The first round of the contest will be held in Mexico, after which the grandmasters will depart to Linares for the final round. And the large prize fund under which the start winner will gain 100,000 euro and the second place holder- 75,000 euro will be an additional stimulus to the victory.
