The Azerbaijani Health Ministry works on prevention of penetration of bird flu to the country. All cars entering Azerbaijan from neighbor countries, particularly, Turkey and Iran, are disinfected, the press service of the Ministry told Trend.
The Ministry noted that at present specialist on medicine were working at the border check points, whose major task was to observe passenger transport.
The specialists of the Health Ministry examine the people with such signs of the disease as sickness and giddiness, the Ministry stressed.
The Ministry also noted that from October 2005Azerbaijan imposed ban on poultry product import from Turkey and Iran.
Besides, the representatives of the Health Ministry, State Veterinary Service, Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry, Azerbaijani Hunters Society are included into the Special Commission on monitoring of existence of the virus in the country.
