The level of knowledge at the secondary schools in Azerbaijan has increased as compared with previous years, though it is too early to speak about full absense of negative tendencies, Maleyka Abbaszade, the chairman of the Azerbaijani State Commission on Student Admission, Trend reports referring to ANS channel.

According Abbaszade, during the last entrance exam to universities 37% of entrants received from 0 points to 100 points. It is very high figure, but the total situation has improved in the country, as in 2004 and 2005 the number of the entrants with such mark comprised 40%.

Besides, Abbasszade noted that the number of the entrants entered into the category 500-700 points in 2005-2006 academic year made up only 4.5%, or 0.5% more as compared the previous year.
