The World Health Organization has confirmed the preliminary diagnosis that 3 persons who died earlier had the bird flu virus, the Azerbaijan Ministry of Health told Trend.
The announcement says that tests conducted by the WHO have confirmed the preliminary diagnosis that all of 3 patients had been affected by the bird flu.
Tests taken from 6 other diseased residents of Salyan district did not confirm the virus.
Test results are now being confirmed.
