Lectures performed by foreign experts and judges were sounded during April 2006 in the Legal and Training center of Ministry of Justice. These lectures were purposed for judge candidates,Trend reports quoting Iman Nagiyev, chairman of Judge Selection Committee.
Nagiyev said during the 5-month course 56 candidates were presented the lectures by foreign judges, outstanding scientists and influencing lawyers.
The lectures, among other specialists, performed director of European common Law center Professor S.Flogantis, manager of project for legal reforms in Azerbaijan with German Society for technical cooperation Professor R.Knipper, judge of French Appeal court P.Henriot, etc. the lectures concerned such topics as human rights, corruption, court ethics, judges behavior, expedient organization of work in court and so.
56 candidates that managed to pass the examinations started pursuing this training in February 2006. the next stage will include practicing in various courts.
