Azeri Youth and Sport Ministry, UNICEF are leading a campaign on occasion of the World Day of Memory of AIDS Victims celebrated May 21, UNICEF officials told Trend.
Such an action is led in Azerbaijan the first time. The project entitled VICH-AIDS and mobile groups is covering only tourists and migrants.
Within the limits of the project, various posters, stands on the theme of AIDS will be hung in the checkpoints like marine port, airport and railway station. Nearly 1.5mln people are planned to inform of AIDS problem in the country.
The campaign is launched in Baku and continued in regions.
According to official figures, there are registered 978 VICH-infected in Azerbaijan today.
