17 Azeri citizens out of 115 foreigners are kept in Georgian penitentiaries, Trend reports with reference to press service of Georgian Ministry of Justice.
In total there are over 9,000 convicts kept in penitentiaries throughout Georgia.
As to the crimes Azeri citizens mostly commit in Georgia, they are similar to those committed by Georgian delinquents. Most Azeri citizens kept in Georgian penitentiaries have been sentenced for smuggling and drug dealing.
