Atilla Koch, the Turkish Minister for Culture and Tourism, visited the villages of the South Azerbaijan under his tour of Iran, Trend reports citing the Turkish media. On the end day of the visit Koch visited the famous Blue Madrasah in Tebriz, which was built in the period of government of the Karakoyunly dynasty.
The Turkish Minister also visited a museum of Azerbaijan, the Memorial of Poets, as well as the central market of Tebriz. Then he had a meeting with the leadership of Ostan (province), Muhammad Mimarzade.
Tebriz attracts Turkey not only for its historic past, but also 6 universities, said the minister underlining Ankaras intention for cooperation with the universities. The establishment of the close relationships between the Faculty of Turkish Language and Literature of the Tebriz University will become the beginning of this cooperation, he stressed.
