Azeri Ministry of Health considers tariffs regulation in private medical clinics

The Ministry of Health is planning to develop the mechanisms for tariffs regulation in private medical institutions, Trend reports quoting Elsever Agayev, deputy Minister of Health.

He said at the moment the issue is out of the ministrys competence but there I a sharp necessity in its solution.

В"At present we just regulate tariffs for paid medical services in governmental clinicsВ", Agayev said.

To eliminate the problems in medical services tariffing sphere, the Ministry and Tariff Committee drafted the pricing for various kinds of services. Such pricing covers over 4,000medical institutions.

In general, in 2005 160 medical institutions and boards out of 4,000 subject to the Health Ministry partially provide paid services and 108 entities already passed to self-financing.
