Azerbaijani boxer Samir Mammadov provided himself at least with bronze medal of the European Championship held in Plovdiv.
In the final battle, he gained a crushing victory over Armenian boxer Vachagan Avagyan. Thus, Samir became the first Azerbaijani athlete in Bulgaria who gained permission for the semi-final of the continental championship.
Besides, three Azerbaijani boxers will join the ring captain of the team Shahin Imranov (57 kg), Rahib Baylarov (75 kg) and Elchin Alizade (91 kg).
