Former Finance Minister of Azerbaijan Fikret Yusifov was sentenced to 1,5 years in jail according to the verdict of Nasimi district court on August 2.Trend reports that session of the court was held under the chairmanship of Nasimi district court chairman Aladdin Gafarov.
Preliminary investigation bodies filed against former finance minister a suit by Article 228 (illegal weapon storage) of AR Criminal Code. The criminal act was juridically proved.
Taking the said into account the judge sentenced ex-minister to 1,5 years in jail with service of sentence in general regime facility.
