Malaria Problem with Azeri Residences of Lagodekh region resolved

The problem with the Azerbaijani population of Lagodekh region will be resolved in the near future, Governor of Kakheti region Petr Tsiskarishvili told Trend Special Correspondent in Tbilisi.

According to him, the power began construction of banks of Kabala river that in spring floods to Azerbaijani village located on the bank of the river and this imposes danger for infection of malaria. As the village was fully flooded, malaria cases take place among the local Azerbaijanis often.

After we construct the bank of the river and ways to the village, these problems will be resolved, he stressed.

The Governor emphasized that it was achieved to involve more than $500.000 from the state budget and private companies in these works, and this opens opportunity to complete all necessary measures.
