Measures taken in Azerbaijan for the environmental protection and the success achieved in this regard, under the leadership of the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, is the focus of attention of the international community and are supported by international organizations.
It has been mentioned in the statement of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Ecology & Natural Resources that recently the Azerbaijan President's Executive Apparat had received a letter from the President of the German Fund, Michael Zukkov, Trend reports.
Zukkov stressed in his letter that according to the decision of the Board of the Fund, the Head of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev was presented the top award of the Fund for his achievement in environmental protection and the preservation of the bio-diversity.
It would be an honor to present this award to you in the presence of members of the Board who are committed to the protection of nature, Zukkov mentioned.
The Fund of Michael Zukkov was created in 1999 by the Professor of Ernest-Morits Arndt University for Botany and Landscape Ecology of Germany, Michael Zukkov.
