A Code on Ethic Norms of Judges is under preparation in Azerbaijan.
Experts of the Council of Europe help the country in this issue, the Press-Service of the Azerbaijan Justice ministry told Trend today.
A working group of the Council of Europe and Azerbaijan built on the basis of judge's ethics has discussed a new part of the Code. During the discussions, the experts of the Council of Europe pointed out that the project has been prepared at a high level. Advices, recommendations and proposals aimed at improving this document were put forward,
Judges` Ethics Code is expected to be completely prepared in the beginning of 2007.
The European experts highly estimated the tests held on October 1, 2006. They pointed out that these exams were one of the most important milestones among the measures aimed at developing Azerbaijan`s judicial system and justice bodies.
