Fikret Mammadov, the Azerbaijani Justice Minister, said in the talk with journalists that the establishment of new judge positions does not mean the resolution of all problems, Trend reports.
The Minister said that along with the expansion of the staff of judges it is necessary to appoint only professionals with excellent human qualities. The current Regulations enable to select deserved ones and introduce them to President Ilham Aliyev said the Minister.
The period between 2005 and 2006 were remarkable with basic reforms. The courts plays considerable role in every society, including Azerbaijan. Over the past two years we have closely cooperated with the Council of Europe in this field and some changes were introduced to the relevant legislation, Mammadov said. A list of new nominees will be presented to the President, said the Minister.
