Hijran Huseynova, the Chairman of the Azerbaijani State Committee on Family, Women and Children, informed Trend that the UN Commission on State of Women will be held in the beginning of January 2007.
She noted that an Azerbaijani delegation comprised of senior officials from every Ministry will participate in the gathering, which will hear a report by Azerbaijan. Ms. Huseynova is going to deliver a 30-minute report. The report will be devoted to the state of women in Azerbaijan. It will describe the status of women in Azerbaijan, their role in society and protection of rights,' she emphasized.
The State Committee Chairman said that UN Commission will meet after 20 January.
