World Food Program & World Famous Violin-cellist to Help Azerbaijani Children

The World Food Program (WFP) and the world renowned violin-cellist and conductor, Mstislav Rostropovich, have announced a national de-worming program, jointly with the Azerbaijani Health Ministry, Trend reports.

They targeted to save Azerbaijani children from intestinal infection which cause delay in growth and intellectual development, dysentery and anemia. The Rostropovich's Charity Foundation purchased 32,000 mebendazola dozes for the treatment of 16,000 Azerbaijani children aged between 6 to 11 years.

The Foundation established by Mr. Rostropovich, jointly with his wife Galina Vishnevskaya, a famous opera singer, has allocated funds for the implementation of the program on immunization of Azerbaijani children against measles and rubella
