The Head of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and Rapporteur of the organization on Nagorno-Karabakh, Goran Lennmarker, met with the law-protectors of Azerbaijan at the OSCE Baku Office on February 9, 2007. Advocate Fuad Agayev, who participated at the meeting, informed Trend that the meeting focused on ensuring human rights and freedoms and problems in this sphere. We highlighted the importance of holding legislative reforms in ensuring the human rights and freedoms and fulfillment of Azerbaijan obligations. Lennmarker said that the reforms in ensuring human rights and freedoms take place in whole Europe and an agreement should exist between the governments and civil societies, Agayev said.
