Nushiravan Maharramli, the Chairman of the National TV and Radio Council, exclusively informed Trend that another competition on the radio frequency of ANS TV and Broadcasting Channel has been announced.
According to him, the forthcoming competition will last for a months вЂ" starting from March 20, 2007 to April 20, 2007. It will be April 20 when the National Council will view the results of the competition to be held and take a decision. Mr. Maharramli said that the results of the competition announced on the frequency of ANS had been canceled due to the fact that there was only one participant in it. It was ANS TV and Radio Company itself. In accordance with the corresponding legislation, at least 3 candidates should be in the competition announced for the substitution of the TV and Radio frequency of ANS.
Mr. Maharramli said that during the second competition for the frequency of ANS, the Azerbaijan private TV and Radio Company will continue its broadcasting. He also said that due to the fact that there are several days off in March, the National Council may prolong the term of the competition.
