Zarbaliyeva / On 1st May the Azerbaijani Anti-Torture Committee held a monitoring of the isolation cells of the Baku Garrison, the police offices of the Yasamal, Khatai, Nasimy, Narimanov, Binagady districts, and the departments on fight against organized crime and human trafficking.
Elchin Behbudov, the chairman of the Committee, has informed Trend that 3 torture cases were revealed in one of the departments, but avoided to tell in which department exactly. The chairman has said that the results of the monitoring will be submitted to the Foreign Minister to define the punishment measures and make the offenders answerable.
