Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend A.Ismaylova / Russia is prepared to consider the transmission of the Azerbaijani TV channels in its territory, said the Ambassador of Russia to Azerbaijan, Vasily Istratov, on 14 May, commenting on the possibility to cease transmission of the Russia TV channels in Azerbaijan from 10 June 2007 according to the decision of the National TV and Radio Council of Azerbaijan.
According to the Ambassador, negotiations have not commenced yet on this issue, but the transmission of the host TV channels in Moscow is totally genuine. " Russia has already sent a note to Azerbaijan and expects a response to begin negotiations," Istratov said.
