There are no Obstacles in Learning Azerbaijani Language in Georgia: Commissioner on Human Rights of Georgia

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend A.Gasimova / Sozar Sobari, the Georgian Commissioner on Human Rights, has stated during the 5th international conference of ombudsmen that there are no obstacles on learning the Azerbaijani language in Georgia.

According to Sobari, there are many schools within Georgia who teach the Azerbaijani language, and find there are no difficulties in students learning the language.

"The problem is that the Azerbaijani populated areas do not know the Georgian language. In order to find jobs in the Georgian State bodies the knowledge of the language is essential," Sobari noted.

The new Zurab Jvani school began functioning in Kutaisi and a national minority attends this school. The study program of languages in this school will help the non-Georgian citizens in finding employment within the Georgian State bodies.
