К.Zarbaliyeva / An appeal by Guliyev on the decision made by the Appeal Court on 9 February was reassessed during the trial held in Sabail District Court under the chairmanship of Judge Alim Namazov. In compliance with the decision of the Court, the newspaper was requested to pay a fine AZN 4,000.
In December 2005 on the basis of a lawsuit by Shakhlar Alaskarov, Chairman of the Consumer Community of Ujar region, Sabail District Court fined Baku Khabar newspaper the sum of AZN 4,000.
In 2007 the plaintiff appealed to the Court for the payment of the fine to be made in installments which was approved by the Court. Due to budget difficulties the newspaper suspended its operations on 31 May.
