(dailymail.co.uk) - Brand Beckham has hit Vanity Fair magazine's list of the best dressed people in the world.
David and Victoria are one of just 10 couples named in the annual fashion poll. They rub shoulders in the magazine with other best dressed couples such as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, and Viscount and Viscountess Linley.
Explaining why Mr and Mrs Beckham are on the list, the Vanity Fair entry says: "Because the whole is greater than the sum of the parts."
It names David's style icon as Steve McQueen and Victoria's as Audrey Hepburn.
The 68th annual best-dressed list for the New York-produced magazine was based on a poll of fashion industry experts. Other Brits in the list include actress Tilda Swinton and heiress Jemima Khan.
The latest edition of Vanity Fair magazine goes on sale in the UK on Friday.
Vanity Fair special correspondent Amy Fine Collins said the Beckhams were voted on to the international best dressed list because it is "their moment" in America.
"She's a fashion filly, always the first out of the gate with a new style, a born clothes horse," she said. "Beckham, like his wife, has a body made for clothes and of course looks wonderful even dressed in nothing but his tattoos. "Posh and Becks are each other's best accessories."
