South Korea to Invest Development of Vocational Education in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr S. Aghayeva / South Korean Daewoo company will construct a vocational training centre in Azerbaijan. The project which will cost $30mln will be implemented within three years, the Vice-President of Daewoo, Park Chong Hyun, reported at the meeting with Azerbaijani Education Minster, Misir Mardanov, on 16 August.

According to him, the company arrived at the idea after becoming familiar with the state of vocational education in Azerbaijan.

The new centre will train 1,050 people annually during 2-6 months on seven specialties. The project will be financed by both sides ($20mln from Korea and $10mln from Azerbaijan).

The training will be held by Azerbaijani experts who will receive preliminary training in South Korea. The project includes the construction of a training building, a hostel, workshops and other rooms.
