PayPal’s license in Turkey extended

The biggest debit electronic payment system PayPal is returning back to Turkish market, Sabah newspaper reported Aug. 23.

The newspaper reported that Turkey’s Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) has extended the license of PayPal.

PayPal, in turn, expressed intention to launch its servers in Turkey until late 2017.

Earlier, it was reported that BDDK refused to extend PayPal’s license and soon after the company announced that it leaves the Turkish market.

PayPal system offers more convenient and secure way to pay and get paid online. The service allows anyone to pay in any way they prefer, including through credit cards, bank accounts, PayPal Smart Connect or account balances, without sharing financial information.

Founded in 1998, PayPal has quickly become a global leader in online payment solutions with more than 188 million accounts worldwide.
