Several leading Russian companies will supply equipment for the Tashkent Metallurgical Plant (TMP) construction, Trend reports with reference to the TMP press service.
Contracts have already been concluded with such leaders of the Russian market as Uralkran, Energoavangard, Veza, Promtreyd Impeks, South Ural Weight Plant and Permglavsnab.
The products of these companies are planned to be used for auxiliary production. The main equipment will be supplied by Italian manufacturer Danieli - one of the three world market leaders in this industry.
“We held talks and meetings, and we believe that the main units would be from different manufacturers. However, in the end we came to the conclusion that one company would supply the whole complex of basic equipment,” said the technical director enterprises Valery Osin.
The total cost of the project exceeds 286 million euros. The MetProm group of companies, one of the leading design and construction organizations in the metallurgical industry in Russia, has been selected as the general contractor for the construction of TMP.
The construction project is managed by a foreign company SFI Management Group. Launch is scheduled for December 2019 and the plant’s capacity will be 500 thousand tons of cold-rolled metal per year where 20 percent is a planned share of exports.
Italian Company Danieli is the third largest supplier of equipment and installations for the metalworking industry in the world. The company has eight factories in Italy, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Thailand, China, India and Russia.
