In the period of January-March 2019 the number of registered road traffic accidents amounted to 2,850 cases, which is 6.5 percent less than in the same period of last year, Trend reports via the Committee of Statistics of Kazakhstan.
Furthermore, the number of car accident victims stands at 4,203 people.
As at April 1, 2019 the number of registered light vehicles in Kazakhstan equaled 3,693,300.
In the period of January-March 2019 the number of registered cars amounted to 220,778 of light vehicles which is 10.2 percent more than in the same period of last year.
As at April 1, 2019 some 18,178 payments on Mandatory Vehicle Owner’s Third Party Liability Insurance worth 6.9 billion tenge were performed by the insurance companies.
