Azerbaijani state budget showed rather positive dynamics in the first half of 2020, Finance Minister of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov said.
Sharifov made the remark during the discussion of amendments to the budget for 2020 at Azerbaijani parliament’s session held on August 5, Trend reports.
The minister noted that the surplus in the state budget is currently 292 million manat ($171.7 million), although earlier it was forecasted at 58 million manat ($34.1 million).
According to him, this was mainly due to revenues from the fiscal authorities, including the State Tax Service and the State Customs Committee.
Sharifov added that in the first six months, state budget expenditures exceeded 107 million manat ($62.9 million).
