BAKU, Azerbaijan, Apr.12

By Sadraddin Aghjayev – Trend:

The Association of Financial Technologies (AzFina) has been established in Azerbaijan, involving seven non-bank providers of payment services and systems, AzFina’s Chairman Ruslan Talybov told Trend on Apr.12.

"Currently, the association’s members are such payment systems as eManat, MillliOn, Hesab.az, Paynet, FynDaynamex, Portmanat, and ePul," Talybov said.

According to him, the goals of AzFina are establishing international cooperation, studying world practice in the financial sector, and applying it in the country.

"To achieve these goals, the state, especially the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, is carrying out a number of measures to expand digital payments, to promote the dynamic development of the association’s member organizations on the basis of the principle of self-management and coordination of their activities, as well as to study international practice in the relevant areas of financial technologies," added the chairman.

The CBA is working to expand the country's digital payment ecosystem.
