Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover totaled nearly $17.7 billion from January through July 2021, which is 17.7 percent more compared to the same period of 2020, Trend reports citing the State Customs Committee (SCC).
“In the structure of foreign trade turnover, exports accounted for $11.3 billion, a growth of 24.7 percent on annual basis. The share of exports in foreign trade turnover amounted to 64.4 percent,” the SCC said.
“At the same time, the value of Azerbaijan's imports made nearly $6.3 billion, an increase of 6.7 percent year on year. The share of imports in the foreign trade turnover amounted to 35.6 percent,” the report said.
The balance of foreign trade turnover on annual basis increased by 57.7 percent - up to almost 5.1 billion manat ($3 billion), remaining positive.
