The volume of produced industrial goods and providing services in Baku from January through July 2021 grew, Trend reports on Aug.24 referring to the City Statistical Department.
According to the department, this indicator amounted to 22.3 billion manat ($13.1 billion), which is 4.9 percent more than in the first seven months of 2020.
Some 75.7 percent of the goods were manufactured in the mining industry, 21.3 percent - in processing, 2.4 percent - in the production, distribution, and supply of electricity, gas, and steam, 0.8 percent - in water supply, waste treatment, and recycling sector.
The share of the private sector in the total production volume reached 83.1 percent, while the share of industrial products amounted to 91.2 percent, and industrial services – 8.8 percent.
As of Aug.1, 2021, a stock of finished products in the warehouses of industrial enterprises amounted to 317.2 million manat ($186.6 million).
The warehouses of industrial enterprises also store products purchased from other enterprises and intended for resale in the amount of 72.4 million manat ($42.6 million).
The volume of industrial goods and services in Baku over 2020 amounted to 29.7 billion manat ($17.4 billion), down 4.8 percent compared to 2019.
Last year, 74.6 percent of the goods were manufactured in the mining industry, 22.5 percent - in processing, 2.1 percent - in the production, distribution, and supply of electricity, gas, and steam, 0.8 percent - in water supply, waste treatment, and recycling sector.
