Azerbaijan’s export of goods to Portugal amounted to $307.9 million in value terms from January through July 2021, which is by 157 percent more than in the same period of last year, Trend reports on Sept. 2 with reference to the statistical bulletin of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
Portugal’s share in Azerbaijan’s total export volume increased from 1.43 percent to 2.7 percent during the reporting period.
Azerbaijan’s import of goods from Portugal decreased by 9.9 percent (from $7.1 million to $6.4 million) as of early August.
Portugal’s share in Azerbaijan's total import volume amounted to 0.1 percent compared to 0.12 percent in the same period of last year.
The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Portugal amounted to $314.3 million from January through July 2021, which is 56.1 percent more than in the same period of last year.
In general, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover exceeded $17.7 billion from January through July 2021. Some $11.4 billion of that amount (64.4 percent) accounted for export while $6.3 billion (35.6 percent) – for import.
The balance of the country's foreign trade turnover remained positive and increased by 57.7 percent on an annualized basis up to 5.09 billion manat ($2.9 billion).
