The Japanese TET International Development company can obtain a plot of nearly 800 hectares for growing tobacco products in Azerbaijan’s Karabakh region, President of the company Taro Sawada said in an interview with Trend.
According to Sawada, negotiations are underway between the company and the relevant government structures and agencies of Azerbaijan.
"We have already been offered 797 hectares of land in the Azerbaijani territories liberated [from Armenian occupation in the 2020 second Karabakh war]. Of course, we welcome this proposal and are ready to manufacture tobacco products in Karabakh," he noted.
Besides, he stressed that the company specializes in the production and cultivation of agricultural products, in particular, tobacco.
"If a proposal is received, we'll be ready to provide any necessary support, including financial one, to the businessmen who will work in Karabakh," added the company’s head.
