Kazakhstan boosts petroleum oil export to Italy

Kazakhstan has exported 190,730 tons of crude petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 79.8 million euros to Italy in June 2021, a Eurostat official told Trend.

Kazakhstan exported 866,732 tons of crude petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 351.8 million euros over 1H2021.

June export volume was 13 percent less than the May 2021 export value (219,262 tons) and 2.2 times more than in February 2021 (84,899 tons). No export was carried out in January 2021.

Furthermore, the June export value was also 12.4 percent less than in May 2021 (91.2 million euros) and 2.5 times more than in January 2021 (31.9 million euros).

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Italy amounted to $3.9 billion from January through June 2021, compared to $4.3 billion during the same period of 2020.

Kazakhstan’s exports to Italy amounted to $3.5 billion from January through June 2021, compared to $3.9 billion during the same period of 2020.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from Italy amounted to nearly $394.9 million over the reporting period, compared to $424.9 million during the same period of 2020.
