Revenues to the state budget of Azerbaijan from excise taxes on imports of tobacco products in 2022 are projected at 499 million manats ($293.6 million), Trend reports referring to the draft state budget of Azerbaijan for next year.
According to the document, due to manufacturing of tobacco products, the state budget of Azerbaijan is expected to receive 458 million manats ($269.5 million), and 41 million manats ($24.1 million) via imports.
It is noted that, in general, revenues from excise taxes to the state budget of Azerbaijan in 2022 are projected at 160 million manats ($94.1 million).
Revenues to the state budget of Azerbaijan from excise taxes in 9M2021 exceeded 143.5 million manats ($84.4 million), and from excise taxes on tobacco products - 43.4 million manats ($25.5 million).
Following the forecast, the revenues to the state budget of Azerbaijan from excise taxes by the end of 2021 will reach 170 million manats ($100 million), while revenues from excise taxes on tobacco products will amount to 74 million manats ($43.5 million).
