The volume of livestock production in Azerbaijan is forecasted to grow, Trend reports citing the state budget’s bill.
According to the bill, this indicator in 2022 will make up 627,700 tons, including 269,300 tons of beef and 184,700 tons of sheep meat.
In 2023, 2024 and 2025, the volume of production in the livestock sector will be 647,300, 667,000 and 686,700 tons, respectively, the document noted.
At the same time, according to forecasts, over 1.93 million tons of eggs will be produced in Azerbaijan next year, including more than 2.28 million tons of milk, as well as 16,200 tons of wool and 860,000 tons of cocoons.
