Turkish company eyes launching co-op with Azerbaijan in Karabakh on cartography

Turkish EMI Grup Information Technologies company is looking for new opportunities in Azerbaijan to launch cooperation in the field of cartography, Ismail Buyuksalih, business development manager at the company, told Trend on Nov. 18.

According to Buyuksalih, EMI Group is engaged in mapping, as well as photogrammetry, which includes three-dimensional photogrammetric assessment, digital elevation model, ortho-mosaic and the creation of mosaic maps using upper triangulation, satellite and aerial images.

"We are working to promote our services in Azerbaijan and looking for new business partners. We had negotiations with Azerbaijani businessmen working in Karabakh,” he said, reminding that work is conducted in the region to restore its infrastructure.

According to him, the company will launch business there as soon as the infrastructure will be ready.

“This work is proceeding at a very fast pace and after the complete restoration of the infrastructure and reaching agreements, we’ll immediately visit these lands and begin activity there," added Buyuksalikh.

EMI Group carries out all types of aerial photography in Turkey and abroad, using the advanced technologies of the Beechcraft King Air C90 aircraft and the UltraCamX wide-format camera for aerial photography.
