Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan reveals loans issued to individuals, legal entities for 10M2021

Banks and credit organizations of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) increased the issuance of loans to legal entities and individuals by 20.8 percent compared to the same period last year - up to more than 185.8 million manats ($109.3 million), Trend reports citing the State Statistics Committee of the NAR.

According to the committee, of this amount, 165.997 million manats ($97.7 million), or 89.3 percent, accounted for long-term loans, and about 19.804 million manats, ($11.6 million) or 10.7 percent for short-term loans.

As of November 1, 2021, the number of client accounts in banks of the NAR reached 181,891, of which 170,244, or 93.6 percent, were active.

It is noted that of the 37,812 client accounts opened in 10M2021, 37,772 are active.

Also, the number of POS-terminals in the NAR during the reporting period reached 1,501.
