Azerbaijan increased the export of cotton fiber by 38.42 percent or by 32,542 tons from January through November 2021 compared to the same period of last year - up to about 117,240 tons, Trend reports citing a report of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
The export value of cotton fiber exceeded $190.3 million.
According to the State Customs Committee, the share of cotton fiber reached 0.96 percent in Azerbaijan’s total export volume during the reporting period while in export of non-oil products - 8.07 percent.
Azerbaijan’s foreign trade turnover as a whole increased by 32.85 percent or $7.5 billion from January through November 2021 compared to the same period of last year - from $22.7 billion to $30.2 billion.
The export volume reached $19.8 billion in the structure of Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover in the reporting period while import volume - $10.4 billion, having increased in annual terms by 51.6 percent and 7.47 percent, respectively.
