Azerbaijan discloses amount of soft loans issued to farmers in 11M2021

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Jan. 13

The Agrarian Credit and Development Agency under Azerbaijan’s Agricultural Ministry issued loans worth 65.6 million manat ($38.6 million) to local agrarians and agrarian entities in the first 11 months of 2021, Trend reports via the agency.

According to the agency, of the issued loans, 39.5 million manat ($23.2 million) fell on soft loans for machinery and equipment, 23.5 million manat ($13.8 million) – micro-credits, and 2.3 million manat ($1.3 million) – loans for medium- and large farming entities.

From January through November 2021, 7,607 units of agricultural machinery were sold by the agency.

Over the reporting period, the agency provided 194 farmers with loans worth 260,000 manat ($152,940) for the purchase of 6,279 heads of pedigree cattle, as well as soft loans for 14.1 million manat ($8.3 million).
