The German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) will support the development of the private sector in Azerbaijan, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the sectors of agriculture, tourism, logistics and transport, Trend reports citing GIZ.
The agency will continue to support various activities in the field of improving governance, gender equality, and helping vulnerable groups.
“Introduction of dual-like approach to vocational education and training (VET) in the target occupations in Logistics and transport sector, based on the German dual system will continue to be a focus of GIZ,” the agency said.
Besides, it will support partners from the private sector in the practical training of students, establish coordination mechanisms between VET schools and employers, providing capacity building to VET management and teaching staff.
GIZ is a state-owned company that, by order of the German government, implements projects in the field of international cooperation to promote sustainable development.
