Spending of foreigners by bank cards in Azerbaijan in December 2021 increased, the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications of Azerbaijan told Trend.
According to the center, this figure equaled 171.7 million manat ($101 million), up by 143.8 million manat ($84.6 million), or 6.3 times compared to December 2020.
Totally, last year, foreigners spent 1.3 billion manat ($760 million) in Azerbaijan through bank cards, which is 870 million manat ($511.7 million), or three times more on annual basis.
In 2020, foreign citizens spent 430.2 million manat ($253.1 million) through bank cards in the country, which is 65.7 percent less than in 2019.
