Azerbaijan provides its liberated lands with drinking water

Approximately 400 objects/areas in Azerbaijani territories liberated from occupation, have been provided with drinking water, Trend reports.

Azersu OJSC continues to work on the restoration and reconstruction of water supply systems in the territories liberated from occupation.

In particular, work is ongoing on supplying water to the village of Khidirly in Aghdam district.

There were no drinking water supply systems in the village of Khidirli and the adjacent territories before the Armenian occupation.

Specialists of Azersu OJSC carried out research and prepared a project providing for the supply of drinking water from artesian wells. The project was launched at the end of 2021 and the construction of artesian well, main and distribution water pipelines with a length of 6.5 kilometers has already been completed.

Work is currently underway to create power supply systems within the framework of this project.

Drinking water supply lines length 2 kilometers and 1.3 kilometers of sewer lines were laid, a reservoir, a pumping station, infiltration and septic installations were built earlier within the framework of the construction project of the Turkish-Russian Joint Monitoring Center in the Aghdam district.

Additional exploration wells have been drilled in order to provide the city of Aghdam and adjacent villages with drinking water.
