BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 29. Azerbaijan's exports amounted to $8 billion ($4.7 billion) from January through March 2022, including non-oil exports - $727.2 million, which is 45 percent more than in the same period in 2021, Trend reports via the "Export Review", presented by the Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication of Azerbaijan.
The report said Azerbaijani exports of fruits and vegetables increased by 28.5 percent in 1Q2022 compared to 1Q2021- up to $124.9 million.
Azerbaijani exports of chemical products increased 10 times, aluminum and products from it - by 63.9 percent, ferrous metals and products from them - by 48.7 percent, cotton yarn - by 29.3 percent, cotton fiber - by 5.6 percent from January through March 2022, compared to the same period in 2021.
Azerbaijan's exports amounted to $2 billion in March 2022, including non-oil $265.5 million.
Azerbaijani food exports increased by 13.6 percent in March 2022 compared to the corresponding month of last year and amounted to $48.8 million, and non-food products - by 70.1 percent - up to $216.7 million.
